Meet Madi Task
the flannel pop artist
It all started with a pack of colored pencils and a dream.
Simmering on the musical influences of her childhood, some of which include Avril Lavigne, Alanis Morissette, Vanessa Carlton, and Michelle Branch, Task was eight years old when she wrote her first song. She got a new pack of colored pencils and decided to write a song for every shade.
It was only a matter of time until she traded colored pencils for complex emotions and conclusions about life. She’s written over 100 songs on guitar, piano, and to track, finally releasing her first single in 2022, “Quitter.”
Now you can find her playing around Brooklyn, NY where she’s excited to develop her sound, collaborate with other artists, and forge her path in the music industry.
“Her voice is soulful yet accessible. She writes pop melodies of actual substance.”
